From a humble family-owned business to an African powerhouse with 110 stores and over 13,000 team members, Builders has been instrumental in uplifting local businesses and communities. Partnerships like the one with Beck Trading showcase this commitment. Starting as a small factory producing personal protective clothing in 1992, Beck Trading now has 28 products and employs about 1800 people across two factories, thanks to Builders‘ support.

Another success story is Zoko Building Supplies, founded by Norma Ledford and her late husband. Builders’ open credit account and material assistance have enabled Zoko to take on bigger projects and grow their business, fostering economic opportunities in the local community.

Beyond empowering local businesses, Builders also partners with Hope Worldwide, an international NGO focusing on early childhood development centres. By providing building, paint and plumbing supplies, Builders has helped transform pre-schools into safe, conducive learning environments that meet government norms and standards.

Throughout its supply chain and social investments, Builders demonstrates how a thriving business can create a positive impact on local communities by supporting businesses and organizations. These partnerships have spurred job opportunities and economic growth, proving that Builders is more than just a hardware retailer—they are an integral partner in building better lives and businesses.
